SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION FOR GRADUATING SENIOR PLAYERS OF ASSOCIATION MEMBERS

 

The GWTSCA will award annual scholarships in the amount of $500.00 for continuing higher
education to graduating senior players of active members of the GWTSCA.
 

Selection will be based upon timely completion of forms and assessment of criteria established
by the scholarship committee of the GWTSCA
 

Recipients will be selected in May and notified by June. They will be recognized and the scholarship
money will be awarded by the GWTSCA at the annual GWTSCA “All-Star” game in Lubbock
in June.
 

Proof of enrollment in a school of higher education for the fall semester must be received by the
Association’s Treasurer prior to disbursement of funds. This proof of enrollment is the
responsibility of the scholarship recipient.
 

SCHOLARSHIP CRITERIA:
 

The Senior Student must:

1. Be the player of an active member (coach) of the GWTSCA

2. Provide a certified high school transcript completed through the fall semester of the senior year.

3. Provide two letters of recommendation which must include the signature, address and telephone
number of the person making the recommendation.

* One from an academic teacher from the student’s school. * 
* One from a community member who knows the student well. *

4. Complete ALL applicable parts of the application

5. Provide signed statement from the coach

6. Must be received by May 29, 2018
